The Recurring Payin team owns the Direct Debit APIs and recurring card charge infrastructure that power automated top-ups and business collections globally, directly orchestrating payment flows across diverse Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
The engineering stack is modern Java and Kotlin microservices built on Spring Boot, PostgreSQL for transactional persistence, Apache Kafka for event-driven asynchronous processing, and deployed onto AWS cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include building resilient RESTful APIs, designing scalable database schemas, optimizing high-volume SQL queries, writing comprehensive test suites, and maintaining Tier 2 critical services with production observability.
